Site Highlights

 

  • UNMC conducts clinical research across more than 35 departments and divisions, supporting nearly 600 active trials at any given time. Our research teams initiate approximately 175 new clinical trials annually, reflecting a strong and sustained commitment to advancing medical knowledge and patient care.

  • The Clinical Research Center serves as the central hub for research activities across the organization. It provides a comprehensive range of services spanning the full lifecycle of a clinical trial. These services are available on an à la carte or bundled basis, allowing for flexibility to meet the unique needs of each study. At any given time, the Clinical Research Center supports approximately 300 active studies.

  • The Clinical Research Center houses an established Gene and Cellular Therapy Resource Group which supports research teams initiating trials involving cellular and gene-based therapies. This specialized group oversees 25 active trials on average, providing guidance from initial requests through trial closeout and works collaboratively with the UNMC Biologics Production Facility, ensuring compliance with complex regulatory and operational requirements.
